History:
The Chapter "C" FreeWheelers (CFW) were established in 1981 in the Littleton, CO. area. Jerry Freeman was the clubs first President. Chapter "C" was originally established as a G.W.R.R.A. (Gold Wing Road Riders Association) chapter. After some disagreements with G.W.R.R.A. policies regarding who was and was not welcome as a G.W.R.R.A. member, the governing body of Chapter "C" decided to go our own way. We severed our relation with G.W.R.R.A. and adopted the name Chapter "C" FreeWheelers. At our May 2000 meeting the members voted on another name change. We will now be know as "The Colorado FreeWheelers" M/C.
The Colorado FreeWheelers M/C is a
club open to people who enjoy riding motorcycles regardless of brand.
Our current roster contains approximately 75 members. There is no
dues to join our club. Just attend a meeting (sign the register)
and you're in. The way we raise funds for club activities is by
hosting a 1,000-IN-24 motorcycle endurance ride once a year in August.
Our 1,000-IN-24 celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2004 and is still
going strong. Our other fund raiser for the club comes in the form
of a bake/craft auction. This takes place twice a year once in April
and again in October each year. The moneys raised during the October
Bake/Craft Auction is donated to a charitable organization agreed
upon by the membership.
Our meeting date and time is the
3rd Thursday each month at 7:00 p.m. The meeting place
is the upstairs meeting room of Fay Myers Motorcycle World
at 9700 E. Arapaho Rd. in Greenwood Village, CO.
If you're interested in meeting a great group of people who share a common love of motorcycle tour riding, come out and join us.
